oh wow! i don't think i've ever had milk fish, i wanna try it!

i barely eat my mother's cooking anymore, i cook for myself mainly. i'm going to be trying out some recipes while they're gone at the nationals. i get a whole week to myself (i'll be living with them till i graduate at least...) but i love cooking for myself >w<

XD if you get milk fish make sure to get the boneless type... otherwise you'll be picking out bones for an hour = =;. Oh you should totally try out my Katsudon recipe! Its pretty good and love eating katsudon! After trying it in Japan i fell instantly in love with that dish... so moving back to the states i had HUGE cravings for it. XD so i figured out hwo to make it. I also have a few other recipes for japanese dishes if your interested!

[link] and [link] is the katsudon recipe. one of these days i'll go back and combine them and fix up a few things but it basically is how i make it. If you have any trouble lemme know i'll try to clear it up.

This one is a baked japanese cheese cake (very yummy) [link]
This one is japanese chicken (tried this one but i'm not sure i did it right, very tasty tho) [link]
This is Japanese Almond Butter cookies! (CAREFUL, VERY SINFUL) [link]
And This one is Japanese Korokke!!!! [link]

All of these i've tried making before... this also includes Mochi but i'm terrible at making that stuff. I can never get it right. D<<<<

thank you for the recipes! i want to try all of them! they all sound delicious!

you know for the japanese korokke i bet if you used wasabi mashed potatoes it would be even better! [link] i'm going to try that next week while my parents are away so i'll be able to try making korokke out of them! i'll make some without it and some with to see which one is better. maybe i can make up my own korokke and put it on dA. i'll have to try it out though. have you ever made risotto croquets? they are amazing they taste like hash-browns but better! i make risotto just to make the croquets! [link]

i've never made mochi. i have a bag of mochi with three fillings, they are all good, but each tiny mochi is 300 callories! i never eat them because i never feel i've been good enough !-!

XD Oh that looks good! I'll have to go out and buy another tube of wasabi. I used all my wasabi to make tuna wasabi onigiri for people at work. lol; unfortunately if you don't use enough wasabi in those things the 'hot' taste fades out. So you have to use ALOT for it to be noticable. speacking of wasabi... ever tried wasabi almonds????? they are AWESOME!? but you have to be careful how much you eat... not just because they are 'hot' but they are very high in sodium. whenever i get a can of those i make sure to make it last over a week.

No i haven't made Risotto croquets! I'll have to try those out too. LOL and i also watch that site. haha. I've made mochi a number of times before and i'll tell you... it is one messy ordeal!? You have to have the right consistancies and the right cook time and you have to wait for to cool down but not ALL the wya cool down which is annoying because if you touch it too soon you burn your hands and it gets stuck between your finger and there isn't any sure fire way to prevent that. = = for me tis a big hassle to make it so i just buy it. LOL:;;;;;;; D8 300 calories!? omg thats alot for one mochi. must be the filling.
